How #1 In Pizza Sales Used Same Strategy As #1 Insurance Salesman
Thanks for Voting on My "Copywriting Battle Book Part #1"
Dear Friend,
If You Can Sell Insurance You Can Sell ANYTHING.
...In My Opinion.
Swapped Successful Sales Ideas Yesterday with Mark.
He told me how he Became #1 in Pizza Sales.
This was 30 years ago. At age 18 -- Mark worked at a Pizza joint because his best friend worked there.
Mark was making 1000.00 a week. 1/2 in cash.
His Job?
Dish washer & Pizza Delivery Boy.
HOW DID HE DO IT?
When Mark Delivered a Pizza he bought the home owner 1/2 an order of Garlic Bread.
Out of his own Pocket.
And Said, "Thanks for The Order. I Bought you a 1/2 Order of Garlic Bread -- on me. As a Thank you."
Mark also knocked on a couple neighbors doors. Bought THEM Garlic Bread too. And handed them a Pizza Brochure.
Huge Tips. And soon people who had Never Bought Pizza Before MYSTERIOUSLY Became Customers.

You ask, "What does This Have to do with The Insurance Salesman I Interviewed? The guy who was #1 in his division for Home Insurance?
Bill-The-Insurance-Salesman did something Similar.
***Bill Would locate a street of homes. Or a Area of houses built at the same time.
I -- Bill knocked on doors until he found a home owner AT home. (Oh yeah. Bill only Worked a couple hours a day. On Weekdays -- after 4pm. And Weekends. Again -- when people were home.)
II -- Hand them a Thank you note with a Lotto Ticket Stapled on top.
"A Thank You Reward for Not Calling the Cops. I'm doing a "F-r-e-e Home Insurance Evaluation for Your Neighbor." Glenn
III -- And Explained that their house increased in Value. Inflation. Meaning that sometimes -- Their House IS NOT INSURED.
IV -- Bill Also Put His "Thank You Door Knocker" on The Houses to the left, Right, Behind and across the Street.
V -- Then Got His Measuring Wheel out of the Trunk. Start Measuring the Frontage lawn in front of one of the Neighbors homes.
Result?
3 out of 4 would ASK, "While you are here. Can you do a Free Home Insurance Evaluation of my house too? We have not updated our insurance in years."
Heh
Heh.
Notice how Bill Did Not Wait for a Prospect to call him. He set up a situation where all of these home owners ASKED Him for help.
No Selling Involved.
THAT is The Reason Bill was #1 in Home Insurance Sales at his Company.
Thanks,
Glenn Osborn
P.S. -- We've adapted this Idea to JUMP Sales for a Lawn Mowing Company Sales guy in Atlanta. Aluminum Siding Biz Lady in Pennsylvania. Eco-Friendly Lawn Care Company owner in Florida. Furnace Replacement Business Co-owner -- in Chicago.
