How Mark Moved From 100K to a 240K Job in 60 Days
Thanks. This is Copywriting book #2
Dear Friend,
Mark in Texas Got Fired.
He took a job at Home Depot.
NO!
He was not there Selling Shovels!
His Home Insulation Employer stuck him behind a table at Home Depot.
His Job?
Hand Out flyers.
Persuade Home Depot customers -- who walked by -- to agree to an Appointment to BE SOLD AT by a Home Insulation Sales Person.
(EDITORS NOTE -- I Should Explain. The summer heat in Texas is often 120 Degrees Fahrenheit -- HOT. Makes Home A/C Expensive. Ineffective. But More Attic Insulation Helps A Lot!)
Mark was Failing Badly.
ZERO appointments in 8 hours.
Mark Got Referred to Us.
We told Mark:
#1 -- "Forget the Flyers
#2 -- "Get away from The Table
#3 -- "Don't Sit down
#4 -- "Stand outside by the Entrance doors.
#5 -- Make a map of the Home Depot Store. Show it to People as the Approach The door. And say, "Whatcha Looking for today? I have a map of the entire store. And can Take you Right to What you want."
#6 -- DO RESEARCH -- I told Mark -- "The last time I was at Home Depot I got Lost. One Clerk did not know. A 2nd sent me to the wrong Aisle." So You Are HELPING the store Manager. And they will Not Bother you. Even though you are NOT supposed to be at the door.
#7 -- TEST -- And then we Started Testing What to say. By Feeding Mark Proven Sales Scripts from Several Different industries -- we came up with a combination that worked Great.
THE FORMER #1 Lead Getting Guy?
The Man to Beat?
That Sales Genius -- Got 2 Appointments a day!
Mark went up to 5 appointments his first day. 25.00 each
125.00 a day -- Times 200 days a year = 25,000.00 per year.
In two weeks Mark was consistenly above 25 appointments a day.
25 Times 25.00 = 625.00 a day X 200 days a year = 125,000.00 a year
After 60 days of Testing -- Mark was consistently setting up more than 50 Appointments a day.
50 appointments Times 25.00 each = $1250 a day
1250 Times 200 Days a year = 250,000.00 a year.
SADLY...
When Mark asked to Switch to Sales. Cuz we figured he could gross a Million a year or better.
The Insulation Company owner Refused. Pointed to the fine print of the contract Mark signed. WITHOUT Reading it.
Mark could not take any other Job in that Industry for the next 5 years. AND if Mark switched to sales -- No more GOLDEN GOOSE!
Nobody else had come close to Setting so many appointments.
So.
Mark is now looking for a Sales Job OUTSIDE the Insulation Biz. Where he can use his new sales skills.
READ THE FINE PRINT!
Thanks,
Glenn Osborn
